2017 Breakfast & Biz: Is your body language speaking?

Date: August 4, 2017 Time: 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM
Event Description Come join the Chamber for an interactive discussion on:
  • Why good communication skills involve more than articulate speech;
  • How leaders define the workplace culture based on the way they communicate with others;
  • Recognizing true communication and listening; learning to recognize the difference and waiting on your turn to speak.
The Chamber is excited to welcome Dr. Yvette Rice, president of LLVE, LLC. She uses her visionary leadership ability, training expertise, and motivational/inspirational speaking skills to help others realize their true capabilities and maximize their potential. Serving as a leader in the marketplace, Rice has more than 30 years combined experience as an engineer, project leader, manager and trainer for the Department of Defense (civilian), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a government contractor, and multiple non-profit organizations. She has trained both nationally and internationally, working with individuals and organizations to raise their level of potential and excellence.

Rice has a bachelor of science in petroleum engineering from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, and a master's and doctoral degree in theology from the North Carolina College of Theology in Wilmington, N.C.
