May 13    2026 Small Business Awards Celebration

The contributions of small businesses in Decatur - Morgan County will be recognized at the Chamber's annual Small Business Awards Celebration. The following awards will be presented: the Raymon Baker-John Cook-Ralph Jones Small Business Person of the Year, the  Lynn C. Fowler Non-Profit Professional of the Year; the Arthur Orr Young Professional of the Year; and the recipient of the $2,000 Love Where You Launch Grant will also be announced.

The 2025-2026 Excellence in Leadership graduates will be recognized as part of the program so those graduates do not need to register. Members who are celebrating milestone anniversaries will also be recognized. Please register by Monday, May 4.

Jun 8 - Jun 10    2026 Educational Camps - Automotive Camp

This three-day camp helps students gain hands-on experience with electric and hybrid vehicles, build an electric motor, learn the basics of gas engines – including setting the engine up on a test stand and making it run! Participants will also work with innovative diagnostic tools and have the opportunity to tour an automotive shop. This camp is for students entering 9th-12th grades and will be held at the Calhoun Community College Automotive Technology Center at the Decatur Campus. Sponsoring Automotive Technology Camp connects your brand with future members of the automotive industry while supporting them in gaining valuable, high-demand skills as well as partners you with Calhoun Community College to drive local workforce development.


The Chamber's Educational Camp programs feature hands-on and interactive environments where students receive training and exposure to careers of the future. Automotive, Cyber, Healthcare, Precision Machining and SWeETy camps will be the featured programs for 2026, along with the potential of others added based on the needs of our workforce community. The audience will include high school students and education leadership teams in Decatur-Morgan County.

This two-day summer camp on June 16-17, 2026 will be held at the Calhoun Community College Decatur Campus! Open to twenty-five 9th-12th graders, this camp offers an immersive, hands-on exploration of careers within the nine programs of Calhoun’s Health Science Division, with a focus on career opportunities in the Decatur-Morgan County area. On day two, students will enjoy a guided tour of the Huntsville campus, with transportation provided by Calhoun. Sponsoring the Healthcare Camp connects your brand with future members of the healthcare industry while supporting them in gaining valuable, high-demand skills as well as partnering you with Calhoun Community College to help meet our local workforce development needs.

Through the Summer Welding and Electrical Technology (SWeETy) Camp, 9th - 12th grade girls are provided an opportunity to learn hands-on technical skills that can lead to high-paying, satisfying careers in high growth industries in Decatur-Morgan County. The four-day camp teaches the importance of safety and the intricate technological components of welding and electrical mechanisms, culminating with industry tour, class projects, and local businesswomen in the manufacturing sector sharing their experiences with the attendees each day. Sponsoring SWeETy Camp connects your brand with future female leaders in technical fields, supports young women in gaining valuable, high-demand skills and partners you with Calhoun Community College to drive local workforce development.

The 2026 Chamber Golf Classic will be Friday, October 2, 2026 and is presented by Adams Beverages of Decatur. The day-long event will be held at Burningtree Country Club. 

The event is also made possible by Gold Sponsors Decatur Morgan Hospital, DOC Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine and Huntsville International Airport.

The Chamber is set to host the 17th Women in Business Celebration, scheduled for Wednesday, December 9, 11:30 a.m. at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Decatur Riverfront. 

The luncheon will host a keynote speaker and feature the presentation of the 2026 ATHENA Leadership Award, an honor presented across the world by Chambers of Commerce, women's organizations and universities.
