The Decatur Jaycees Christmas Parade is set for the traditional first Monday in December. The community event -- this year with the theme highlighting the movie "Elf" -- will wind through downtown on Second Ave, Lee Street and Bank Street.

| Dec 13 2016 YP Leadership Luncheon - December |
YP Leadership Luncheon series is as an opportunity for members of the under-40 crowd across Morgan County to both connect and socialize while developing their career and leadership skills. This one-hour program coincides with the traditional lunch hour where guests can enjoy lunch and glean information to apply to their careers and community.
Tab Bowling, Decatur's newly elected mayor, will be our featured speaker for our December gathering. Elected in a runoff in October 2016, Bowling previously worked for Hagemeyer North America for more than 30 years. He has lived in Decatur for more than 50 years, and he and his wife, Sherry, have three children and one granddaughter. He is a board member of Decatur Rotary, where he is a member of the Paul Harris Fellow Society, past member of Decatur Jaycees and a graduate of the Chamber's Excellence in Leadership program (previously known as Leadership Decatur).
We are excited to continue this series for our young professional community and we encourage you to bring guests and co-workers. YP Leadership Luncheon is presented by Nucor Steel Decatur. Tickets for the event are $10 for Chamber members and $15 for non-members, which includes lunch. Seating for this event is limited, so we encourage you to make your reservation soon.
