This is a community sponsored fundraising event for Sav-A-Life Pregnancy Center. There will be inflatables for the children, dunking booth and fun for the kids. We will also have live music and food. Oct 6    2016 Women in Business Luncheon
The Chamber's 8th Annual Women in Business Celebration is set for Thursday, Oct. 6, 11:30 a.m., at the Doubletree by Hilton Decatur Riverfront and presented by Nucor Steel Decatur. The event will feature a keynote address from Elizabeth "Liz" Huntley, committed child advocate and legal representative and consultant for governmental and non-profit agencies that serve children and families. Huntley earned her law degree from the University of Alabama  School of Law where she now serves as Chair of the Farrah Law Society Board of Trustees. She received her undergraduate degree from Auburn University, where she is a member of the Auburn University Board of Trustees. Her inspirational memoir "More Than A Bird" published in 2015, celebrates the teachers and community leaders that impacted her life. A portion of the proceeds from her book support efforts to advocate for the expansion of Alabama's high-quality, voluntary pre-k program and will be available.

The luncheon will also feature the presentation of the Athena International Leadership Award to a member of the Morgan County business community who demonstrates excellence, creativity and initiative in her profession. Recipients not only provide valuable service by contributing time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community, but also actively assist other women in realizing their full leadership potential. Oct 7    Robin Rents Equipment Open House
On this day, Robin Rents Equipment will be celebrating the opening of our newest location in Decatur. During this time we will also have our ribbon cutting ceremony. We would love for homeowners and commercial businesses to come see the selection of rental tool and wide selection of equipment that we have. We will be providing hotdogs and hamburgers during this event. Many of our vendors will be present conducting demos on site. When you come please visit our raffle table and sign up for the many give aways that we will be having at the end of the open house. Keep in mind you do not have to be present to win. We look forward to serving the River City and surrounding areas. We appreciate all the support we have and will receive in the future. Hope to see you there.
