May 22    2018 Breakfast & Biz: Spring Workforce Strategies

Great managers realize that you can't change people very much. Each person has their own style, their own way of doing things, their own way of thinking, and you can't do much to change it. So instead of trying to change and remold people, great managers develop the unique attributes of each employee to increase their performance. This is the fundamental idea behind the success of great managers.

•             Are you competing for talent in your workplace?
•             Are you trying to reduce turnover and retain your talent?
•             Are you wanting to achieve more productivity from your existing talent?

In one hour or so, you will learn the fundamental ideas behind the success of great managers. You will learn why their business units are so profitable and productive. You will also learn how they keep employee turnover low, engagement and customer satisfaction high. You will be able to go back to your workplace with an immediate strategy to increase your employee engagement, improve retention, and make your company more profitable.

The Chamber is excited to welcome Alan Ridgway, division president for the Staffing and Workforce Management Division of Lyons HR Inc. He is an influential leader in the human resources industry spanning more than 30 years. Ridgway has held progressively responsible roles leading hundreds of employees in companies with revenues exceeding $300 million. He has also led companies through start-up, survival, turnaround and growth modes.

The Chamber's Breakfast & Biz business development training and networking session provides ongoing support for our local business partners. The event is $10 for Chamber members and $25 for non-members. To confirm your membership status, please click here. The event is presented by Redstone Federal Credit Union, along with breakfast sponsor The Terrace at Priceville.
